TIS THE SEASON…
…to begin the projects for your holiday gift giving!
AAARRRGGGHHHHH!
I am ALWAYS surprised by how soon this time comes each year, and this year is no different., although, for me, at least I’ve been working on monthly projects each month, so I am a little better prepared, perhaps.
I am working on the video tutorial for September for The FELTit Experience members: a fall tablescape. And, in doing so, I am trying out a technique that I’ve not yet attempted, the cracked mud technique, being used in a placemat/centerpiece. I can, in fact, hear the squeaks of my Gentle Roller machine rolling the sample as I type this post!
To go with the mat (shaped and cracked unexpectedly-more later), I’ll have a handful of needle felted pumpkins and acorns! I just love using real acorn tops with felted acorns, and have begun using cinnamon sticks for pumpkin stems-the texture differences are lovely!
And if you want to have a new felting video tutorial each month, helping you grow your felting techniques, connecting you with others wanting to learn more and felt more, then keep watching for information on when The FELTit Experience opens in October for new members! The membership only opens twice a year, so you’ll not want to miss out-head over to the website and enter your email to receive updates with other insiders!
