Class Updates
As I am fully vaccinated, as are the majority of my family, friends and colleagues, I took a long overdue trip south to visit with my father-in-law for the day yesterday. I was so happy to see him, visit for the day, and give him hugs.
I took the long way home, via Hutchinson, to pick up an order from my friends Andrea and Steve from The Wool Market & DIY School ( https://thewoolmarket.net/ ). Andrea and I went to college together in Hesston, and reconnected about 5 years ago through a mutual friend, Laura. We discovered that we both had embraced our inner creativity through the love of fiber, and when she and her husband made the decision to open their store, I knew that we would continue to be connected well into the future!
My last in-person felting classes were held at their establishment on February 29, 2020.
The COVID pandemic made in-person classes impossible for the past year+ between that date and yesterday, when I happily, and tearfully, hugged my friends upon walking into the shop. I am so grateful that we are making progress in coming back from this pause, yet I will continue to be safe, mask when necessary, etc. until we reach herd immunity.
That being said-being fully vax’d, and, knowing that my friends at The Wool Market & DIY Store in Hutcheson, Kansas are as well, means that we begin our plans for me to bring felting classes back to their shop!! July is the month in sight, dates yet to be determined, but there will be at least one Painting with Wool class! And I think that a great way to commemorate the pause would be to create a wet felted tablet or phone cover!! What do you think?
I am also visiting Take-N-Make kits to have available at The Wool Market, and would love to know what sort of easy to accomplish on your own projects YOU would like to see in them?
Life, and live classes, are coming…we can do the hard things to make that happen safely!!
Thank you all for continuing to support both me and my friends Andrea & Steve. WE appreciate you more than you’ll ever know!
